Summer Kiwifruit Orchard Work. A+ Accommodation

We have jobs available and space for a couple to join our  household. Summer orchard operations are varied and most orchards are close by.  Work is secured for you, starting at close to $25 an hour inclusive holiday pay.  Preferably seeking a work/stay commitment up to start of kiwifruit harvest in March. Transport not essential.

Our heritage home by the harbour offers comfortable space with proper beds, not bunks. Your affordable  $190 a week rent is inclusive of such things as washing machine use, unlimited fast fibre wifi, salad garden, kayaks, mountain bikes, in season fruit and more.  No pesky extra costs. Rooms have water views, water park over the road, pleasant outlook, sunsets. Big house used only for  longer staying orchard workers. Two gas hot water showers. Your host ensures the property is kept ship shape.

The work is 7 days a week, just not on very wet days.  If you need a day out to take care of yourself, get a w.o.f or what ever, it's no problem. Opotiki, gateway to the East Coast, has a moderate climate throughout the year, normally any wet spells are usually minimal.

Opotiki is a substantial coastal town that has a New World Supermarket, Pharmacies, Doctors, money machines Museum, Library, pizza, Subway, Kebabs and most all services you might need. The nature setting, fishing for your dinner over the road, some gym equipment, 10 km cycle trail, beach walks, glow worms, rugby games, and much more are all free. Commonly people find they earn the same as elsewhere, have just as much fun but save more of their income than in other places.
