We are currently seeking a versatile Housekeeping/Kitchenhand to join our team in the stunning Westland Tai Poutini National Park, located in the picturesque tourist town of Franz Josef Glacier. At The Landing Restaurant Group, delivering exceptional service and maintaining high standards is at the heart of what we do. We are looking for a motivated individual to take on this dual role, ensuring our guests enjoy a top-tier experience.

Immediate Start

This is a great opportunity for a hospitality professional who can split their time between housekeeping in our motel and assisting in the kitchen. The balance of duties will vary depending on the business needs, offering a mix of responsibilities each day.

Responsibilities:

• Housekeeping: Clean and prepare guest rooms and communal areas to the highest standards, ensuring a welcoming environment for all guests.
• Kitchenhand: Assist with food preparation, washing dishes, and maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen.
• Flexibility: Be ready to switch between roles as needed, ensuring smooth operation across both the motel and restaurant.

Requirements:

• Positive Attitude: Bring a positive, can-do attitude and a willingness to learn new skills.
• Experience: Previous experience in housekeeping or kitchenhand roles is beneficial but not essential, as training will be provided.
• Availability: Must be available to work weekends and evenings, which are peak times in our business.
• Strong Work Ethic: Show dedication to maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in both housekeeping and kitchen tasks.
• Ability to Work Under Pressure: Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, especially during busy meal times or guest turnover periods.
• Team Player: Be able to work collaboratively with the rest of the team to ensure smooth operations in all areas.

Desired Qualities:

• Previous Experience: Experience in housekeeping, kitchens, or similar environments is a plus.
• Attention to Detail: High standards for cleanliness and hygiene, with an eye for detail in both guest rooms and the kitchen.
• Multitasking: Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and switch between roles seamlessly.
