Housekeeping/Waiter Position Available at The Landing Restaurant Group

We are seeking a dedicated Waiter/Kitchen helper to join our team in the breathtaking Westland Tai Poutini National Park, located in the charming and scenic tourist town of Franz Josef Glacier. At The Landing Restaurant Group, customer satisfaction is at the core of everything we do, and we are looking for a motivated individual to help uphold our high standards of service.

Immediate Start

We are eager to welcome a hospitality professional who can split their time between our motel for housekeeping duties and our restaurant as a waiter. The hours spent in each role will vary based on business needs, offering a dynamic and varied workday.

Responsibilities:

• Housekeeping: Ensure rooms and communal areas are cleaned and maintained to the highest standard.
• Waiter: Provide exceptional customer service during restaurant shifts, particularly during dinner service.
• Flexibility: Be adaptable to move between roles depending on the needs of the business on any given day.

Requirements:

• Positive Attitude: A willingness to learn and bring a positive outlook to the team.
• Experience: Previous experience in housekeeping or waitstaff roles is advantageous but not required, as full training will be provided.
• Weekends: Must be available to work weekends, as these are peak times.
• Work Ethic: Demonstrate a strong work ethic and commitment to excellence in both roles.
• Thrives Under Pressure: Able to perform well in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, particularly during busy restaurant services.
• Team Player: Willing to collaborate and work harmoniously with other staff members.

Desired Qualities:

• Previous Experience: Experience in a high-paced restaurant, café, or bar environment is highly beneficial.
• Communication: Confidence in communicating effectively with guests and fellow team members.
• Multitasking: Ability to juggle responsibilities and maintain efficiency across both housekeeping and waiting duties.
• Passion for Hospitality: A genuine passion for providing excellent service and contributing to the overall guest experience.
