** IMMEDIATE START ** Wildernest is a bespoke glamping company looking for proactive individuals to join their Tent Build in New Plymouth for Feb and March. Awesome fun team!
In this role, you will be setting up and packing down Wildernest Glamping Tents along with larger tents, lighting etc.. Our main events are large music festivals and corporate events over key dates this summer. This is an event-based role, working for roughly 2 weeks at a time for each festival or event.
Setting up the Glamping Village entails long days in all weather conditions, be it sun or rain, so maintaining a positive attitude and working together as a team is key.
The role is tailored towards those who are physically fit and able-bodied, as it requires lifting heavy weights (e.g., 40kg tents). Having a positive, can-do attitude, no matter the weather, and being able to take instruction from your team leader is vital. You must be practical-minded and willing to learn our processes, plus be confident in setting up our site lighting and other key structures for our guest facilities.
Marquee rigging experience is a definite advantage, as is any relevant experience with bell tents, glamping, and/or festivals.
You will be working with like-minded individuals, travelling for part of the summer, and, of course, being part of the festival! There may be more work available for a small team between the larger jobs mentioned below.
You must be flexible and happy to stay overnight on-site for up to a week at a time while we set up and break down. You must have access to your own tent or van and be capable of cooking for yourself while away. We provide the facilities to cook with; you provide your own food. We also provide bathroom facilities for staff and a general hangout area for the crew.
