Summer Orchard Staff

Enthusiastic staff are required over the next few months for our busy blueberry orchard in Ngatea.

Who are we?
We are a family owned business based in Ohaupo in the Waikato. We have established Orchards in Ohaupo, Ngatea, Otautau (Southland) and have an orchard under development in Waipu (Northland). We are New Zealand’s largest holder of  Blueberry land with 750 acres (300+ hectares) currently in production.

Our head office and main processing facilities are located just 20 minutes south of Hamilton, and the blueberries are grown, harvested, frozen and packed all on site. We also run Pick Your Own (PYO) and café operations through the summer across all our existing orchards.

Positions available:
 

Orchard Supervisors: 

This job involves the supervising and monitoring our teams of pickers, collecting and delivering of blueberries from the Orchard to our packhouse.  Previous experience riding motorbikes would be an advantage, but full training will be given.  You will also require a current drivers license.

Cafe FOH Staff:

This job involves serving customers, making ice creams and coffees and helping weigh blueberries picked by customers.

PYO Staff:

This job involves helping with traffic management and guiding customers to the right areas to pick their own berries.

Our roster runs over a 7 day period. Pay will vary depending on experience and position, new workers start on $22.70 per hour.

Handyman:

Assisting with general maintanance and repairs.
