This is not your conventional job!

We don not sit in front of a computer screen, we are out and about taking action and talking to people in our community about the important work that Greenpeace does, and inspiring them to become supporters.

Without our supporters we can't create strong, influential campaigns to lobby governments and hold corporations accountable for the environmental impact they have.

This is why we need people like you! People who do not want to sit in an office, but who want to get out and become grassroots campaigners. We are looking for people with;

  • Natural ability to connect with people from all walks of life and build instant rapport
  • Passion for the cause and desire to make a positive difference
  • Resilience to deal with the challenges this job throws at you
  • Belief in yourself to be able to inspire and motivate people

As an Outreach Campaigner you will gain skills and experiences you can take forward into many facets of life. Learning and developing strong communication and interpersonal skills, sound knowledge of national and international environmental issues, and your ability to continue to shine in the face of rejection.

We can't do it alone!

If you think you're up for the challenge then Greenpeace needs you!!

Must be fluent in English and be eligible to work in NZ for a minimum of 4 months. Hours are From 2.30pm - 8.30pm Monday to Friday.

We really value our Outreach Campaigners and the work they do therefore we are proud to be an accredited living wage employer. Currently the living wage in New Zealand is $20.20 per hour, which is the starting rate of all Outreach Campaigners.

Applicants for this position should have NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa.
