Lodge Assistants - Work Exchange

Payment (NZD): $0.00
Location: Tongariro & Whanganui National Parks
Region: Taupo & Central Plateau
Experience: No Experience Necessary

Snowy Waters Lodge is an Old Nurses Home and Doctors Residence converted to offer visitors from NZ and overseas a unique holiday experience. We have guests departing daily for the Tongariro Crossing, the Whanganui River Journey, the Bridge to Nowhere plus several fantastic mountain bike trails. We also run Murder Mystery parties for groups of 10 - 20 people and host family reunions, birthday parties and other special events.

We are constantly undergoing renovations to improve our facilities and as we're set within 5 acres of parklike grounds there are plenty of gardening jobs to do. As a Lodge Assistant you will help with cleaning, cooking, outdoor tasks such as watering the garden, picking up leaves and looking after our pet goat.

Snowy Waters is located in a small rural town near Tongariro and Whanganui National Parks. Our setting is private and peaceful with amazing views of the mountains. In return for your hard work, we offer 3 meals per day plus accommodation. On days off you can use our bikes to explore the region. Due to the time it takes to train we ask for a minimum 3 week commitment. We do take volunteers throughout the year however right now we are looking for helpers who can start in April. If your enquiry is for a later date/month please contact us closer to the time.
