Lake Ohau Lodge is an iconic 72 room NZ high country lodge on the shores of Lake Ohau in the Southern Alps, a medium to large wilderness lodge catering for tours and functions over summer and skiers and snowboarders over winter. The Lodge is a family run business, it is unique in it’s style and we pride ourselves on our hospitality and amazing food. We are seemingly remote but in a beautiful location so these positions will suit someone who enjoys the outdoors and working in a fun and happy environment. If your R&R pleasures include bush and mountain walking/tramping, rock climbing, fishing, and mountain biking this may be for you.

We are looking for a personable, creative and enthusiastic Chef with a breadth of experience to take over from our incumbent Head Chef in mid-October. If you can start directly you will have the opportunity to work alongside our Head Chef during the remainder of our busy winter ski season.

This is a hands-on role for someone who is expected to lead by example. 

Remuneration is negotiable and will be based on the successful applicant’s skills and experience. For a single person accommodation and meals are provided at $150 per week. Couple and family arrangements can be provided.
