Tamarillo Fruit Pickers

We are seeking two (2 ) people to join us for our tamarillo harvest. This position would suit a couple or two friends as you will be working together as a mini  team. Full training is provided. 

The style of picking is the opposite of kiwifruit picking - we don't strip pick, we select on red colour. If you are colour blind unfortunately you would be unsuitable for this role. As our trees are tall you will need to be of above average height, minimum 170cm tall.

We pick fruit 5 days a week (40 hrs) and weekends when busy with prior agreement with you. Our season runs until the end of October.

The orchard is located rurally approximately 10km from Paengaroa or 20 km from Te Puke - you will need your own car. We do not provide accommodation however, there is a range of accommodation options close by (holiday parks, freedom camping, private room rentals). We are happy to provide advice and recommendations based on our previous staff's experiences.

You will be working alongside the owners. We are seeking people that are fit, enthusiastic team players that can work independently to a consistent high level that meets our industry / customer expectations. You will be self motivated and will embrace our mission to bring the best quality tamarillos to our customers.

Work over winter / Sping and have your Summer free to explore our beautiful country.

You will need to provide evidence that you are permitted to work in New Zealand (WHV) / NZ / AU Citizen /Resident and have a current IRD number and bank account.
