Front Of House/barista - Life By The Beach

We are the Old Mill Waterfront Cafe situated on the waterfront in the Coromandel Peninsula town of Tairua.  Close to amazing walking tracks amd fantastic surf beaches.  We are a vibrant, happy team with a solid regular clientel, a passion for good food.  Our seating capacity is 70+ inside and out.

We are looking for one more staff member to help us over summer.  Must be available to work 14th February onwards to mid way through March 2024, and possibly to the end of April 2024, depending on how busy we are.  Our shifts are mainly day work, includes weekends.  The cafe's hours are Wednesday to Sunday 8.30am to 2.30pm, so plenty of time to enjoy our beaches and see the area.  We also cater private functions so these may be in the evenings.  

The job requires the applicant to work front of house running food, clearing and re-setting tables, polishing glassware  etc

Possible bar work and coffee making depending on level of experience.

Applicant requirements

Must have a valid work visa or nz resident

Outgoing personalitly confident talking with customers and understand great customer service

Good hygiene and punctuality

Works well in a team enviroment and happy to jump in wherever they are needed, even doing the dishes or the laundry.

Good Communication skills

Can work well in a fast pace environment

Confident in using Point of Sale and cash handling not essential can be taught.
