Cafe Attendant

Enjoy the quiet season on the Coromandel! 

We are looking for a Cafe Attendant to join our lovely team from early May. The role involves some food prep, heating & plating delicious food for our customers. You'll also help with front of house and cafe set up and clean down at the end of the day.

This is really a multi-tasking roles so aside from being a ‘jack of all trades’ you need to be a good comunicator, team player. Experience in hospitality and food handling is preferred but not essential as we will train you. You only need to enjoy delighting customers, love food and understand key food hygiene and safety principles. Past experience in a restaurant or cafe would be beneficial but not essential.

Your hourly rate will be $24 + 8% casual holiday pay ($25.92 gross before tax) and we will provide you a meal when you are working. You must have a valid visa or work permit for NZL. Full time work available from early (approx 24-28 hours per week). Ideally seeking people that are able to commit to the team until the end of July or longer.

Our cafe is located on 5 acres of  orchard and gardens in a lovely setting. Located close to Hahei, Hot Water Beach, Cooks Beach, Tairua and Whitianga, you will have great beaches and nature on your doorstep. In addition to your wage, you will be provided a simple meal as part of your shift. We don't provide accommodation but there is a camp ground just down the road.

The Coromandel Peninsula does not have public transport so if you haven't looked up where we are located (rurally), or don't have transport, please don't apply.
