We are a privately and family owned business, looking for an enthusiastic person to join our team. We will offer a lot of variety in your work, including customer service, store sales, preparing and cooking food, merchandising, inwards goods, etc.

Caltex Wanaka is located on the shores of stunning Lake Wanaka, near Queenstown. Lake Wanaka is the main go-to area for people visiting Central Otago. Wanaka is famous for its outstanding scenery, surrounded with gorgeous lakes and mountains which makes it the ultimate base for outdoor activities. In the winter we have a real 'buzz' in town, due to the skiers.

We are a busy service station located in the centre of Wanaka town that provides a wide variety of services e.g.,convenience store, barista coffee, freshly prepared food, Chicken to Go, laundromat, customer shower, courier services, carwash, LPG, trailer hire, etc. - plus fuel of course! We're looking for someone that enjoys variety in their work, a team player and can give our customers service with a smile.  We are a team of 10, who all work together, with everyone sharing the daily responsibilities, this includes helping customers, being on the tills, shop merchandising, receiving deliveries, food preparation, and cleaning. There is a lot of variety in the day to day work - everyone pitches in to share the jobs. We are a fun team and you're guaranteed to meet many locals, tourists and NZ holidaymakers every day.

We know how to have fun in our workplace!  Caltex pays good money (above hospitality and skifield pay rates) and you won’t be doing any split shifts or sent home early if the weather is bad. We will offer you comprehensive training and the opportunity is there for further advancement and development.  Employment is on a contract through until mid October 2024, if agreeable between both parties this could be extended further.  This is a permanent position with 2 consecutive mid-week days in a row off.  If you ski you’ll be able to get up on the skifields on the quieter midweek days.
