Ski And Board Rental Attendants

We are seeking applications from energetic and enthusiastic snow goers wanting to indulge in a winter staying in our little village and working in a premium Ski Shop and Rental. 

About Us
Ski Biz / Snowzone @ The Alpine Centre is a Independent family business located in National Park Village near the base of Mt. Ruapehu. In the winter season we provide Rental, Retail and Workshop Tuning to customers visiting Mt Ruapehu. We currently have openings based in our rental department for Full-Time, and Part-time applicants who are able to work on a fixed term contract for the duration of the Mt.Ruapehu Winter Snow Season. 

We provide all our Full-Time employees with a Mid-week mountain pass to Mt. Ruapehu, to enjoy between your shifts and on days off, so you can share your positive experiences and vibes with our customers.

About the positions
In the position you will be ensuring all customers are welcomed, and helping and advising them on the equipment they will need. Issuing and fitting boots, skis, snowboards, clothing, helmets, goggles. Ensuring all equipment is fitted safely and efficiently. Ensuring equipment is loaded into the rental system, and charged correctly. Assisting with Cashiering. Ensuring equipment is checked in correctly on return, not damaged and charged accordingly. Ensuring equipment is cleaned, dried, maintained and stored correctly. Maintaining equipment on a daily basis and some basic workshop duties and repairs. Training will be provided
Experience is not necessary - Enthusiasm and Amazing Customer Service is!

The position is on a roster basis with two days off mid-week and some split shifts, meaning you can sometimes get up the mountain 3-4 times a week. The usual rostered week is 35-45 hours work, but more during the school holidays.

We provide All full-Time positions a Mid-week mountain pass to Mt. Ruapehu, to enjoy your days off, so you can share your positive experiences and vibes with our customers. 

All positions are seasonal fixed term - starting from mid/late June and finishing mid-October. We don’t have any staff accommodation of our own, but have at present some secured for our staff.
