Toyota Estima Previa 2004

located in Christchurch and listed under Cars & Campervans

Dear Backpackers and Travellers,

I have to leave this beautiful country sooner than I thought. So I would like to give my beloved car and home to the next generation of travellers. The car is a Toyota Estima Previa 2004 and younger than 15 years. It has been driven a lot but I cared about this car and I had it serviced regularly. Because of that it never broke down on me. I invested over 1.500$ in this car and had it made ready for winter in the southern island just recently (1.000$ service on 9th July). Of course I can and will show you all the receipts. You can start your journey just like this without thinking about all the hassle that comes with a car.

Some facts for you:

  • 4 New Tyres (9th July)

  • Wheel Alignment (9th July)

  • New Battery – winter proofed (9th July)

  • New Fluids – Oil, Brake Fluid, Coolant, Wiper Fluid – All winter ready (9th July)

  • Front Brakepads (Mid April)

  • 2,4l engine

  • runs with chain (no cambelt to worry about)

  • automatic

  • petrol

  • 333689 km

  • ~8-10 l/100km

  • WOF until 04/19 (only yearly because it‘s a newer car)

  • REGO until 04/19

  • 2 zone air conditioning

  • CD, AUX, tape, radio

  • electrical windows

  • central locking system

The car was also a home for me most of the time. So everything you need is ready. It is made for 2 persons travelling. Some details about the home part:

  • bed with matress, winter duvet, winter covers, several blankets, pillows (slept in the car in the southern island in winter) – It‘s definitely warm

  • Below the bed is storage space for clothes, food and utilities you might need

  • kitchen with sink, plates, bowls, cups, chopping board, two burner gas stove, brand new 9 kg LPG bottle, 25l tank, pots and pan

  • table and 2 chairs

  • rubbish bin

If you want you can easily change the car into self-contained. This will bring the value of the car up even more. I wanted to do this myself before selling the car but I have to leave suddenly and still want to see some more of the southern island. If you want I can give you advice as to what has to be changed. Mainly it‘s getting a hole into the sink, adding a pipe to a second water tank and a camping toilet. I spoke to several people who made this type of car self-contained so I can give you plenty of tipps about the process.

If you are looking for a safe and durable car, serviced well and ready to go even in the sometimes harsh winter weather give me a call or text me. Besides showing and telling you everything there is about this car I can also give you some valuable advice about travelling New Zealand if you want, the kind I would have liked to know in the beginning of my journey :D. Furthermore if you want I can offer additional equipment like a hot water bottle, hiking equipment for multi-day hikes and other things. Just tell me if you need something from the stuff I‘ll show you.

Seeing forward hearing from you! I am now in Christchurch and Viewings can be arranged easily. Just get in contact!

PS: I am German so if you want I can give you all the details in German, too.

Before buying a campervan or car we recommend that you get the vehicle checked by an independent mechanic or have an inspection by the AA undertaken to ensure there are no major faults or problems. If you are renting or taking advantage of a buyback scheme make sure you have a valid contract in place.
