Barnyard Backpackers

Welcome to the Barnyard Backpackers, the backpack hostel within the reach of Fiordland National Park.



You'll find us on a 50-acre deer farm between Te Anau and Manapouri, 9km from Te Anau. You'll probably also see sheep, horses, cats and a dog too - there's room for everyone here!



All the rooms are in log cabin units and each has a private bathroom, TV, heating and grand views overlooking Fiordland bush and river. The beautiful hand-crafted building's dining area features a large open wood fire and, with beds starting from $30 per person, it really is "serenity in a rustic setting".

The Barnyard's located in-between the townships of Te Anau and Manapouri and is a great springboard for some of the most amazing tramping you'll find in New Zealand.
