Dorset House hostel backpacker accommodation will re-open 05 March 2012. Dorset House is a perfectly located boutique hostel in historic 1871 home, situated in a lovely quiet garden setting and right next to beautiful Hagley Park.

• There's a great pizza restaurant and an Indian Curry restaurant at the end of our street (1 minute walk)
• Quirky shops on Victoria St - Vic's Cafe is famous (have an iced chocolate!) and we can see it from our front door
• Also close to the Merivale and Riccarton shopping and restaurant areas (supermarkets, restaurants, bars, pubs)
It's easy to get around:
• The Airport bus is a 2 minute walk away
• Public buses will take you all over the city
• Intercity bus depot is nearby (7 minute walk) for your national bus connections
