Ok, i'm now back in civilisation after spending a couple of days in the Abel Tasman Park. The Sea kayaking was a lot of fun, Mark (our guide) was very experienced and informative giving us lots of info about the Park and the wildlife in the area and other bits and pieces. We were quite lucky because there were only 4 people in our group which meant that we didn't have to go so fast and use so much energy (It was our first time kayaking).
The scenery and the beaches we stopped at were amazing, and not so crowded as i guess they would be in Jan or Feb... the only bad things were the bloody Sandflies biting us and the mouse in our tent at 4am at Bark Bay (but that's another story)... All in all it was a great thing to do and a very good way to see some of the Abel Tasman Park, the company we went with (Ocean River Sea Kayaking) claim to be the most experienced and they were very good... the best part was when we returned to the base and got to have hot showers and free coffee
